The “Tie Stitch”: An Arthroscopic Stich for Long Head of Biceps Tenodesis Associated With Rotator Cuff Repair or as a Superior Capsule Reconstruction. Surgical Step‐by‐Step Technique

Abstract Long head of biceps (LHB) tenodesis is a common procedure. Historically, it has been recommended in the setting of rotator cuff reconstruction in young and active patients when the LHB is degenerated or severely inflamed to reduce postoperative pain. More recently, LHB has been proposed as an alternative to fascia lata to reconstruct the superior capsule in young patients with massive and irreparable rotator cuff tears. In such a situation, strong and solid initial fixation of the LHB is mandatory. Several arthroscopic stitches have been described: they should be easy to perform and strong enough to avoid slackening of a degenerated LHB.
