How we verify
Source hierarchy
We rank sources by how authoritative they are for the type of information shown:
- Official primary source — ClinicalTrials.gov, NCI, DailyMed, openFDA, USPSTF, CDC/HHS, or the manufacturer's own program page.
- Nonprofit charitable foundation — disease-specific assistance funds run by established 501(c)(3) organizations.
- Verified third-party directory — used only for discovery; the record is always confirmed against the primary source before it is marked verified.
Verification workflow
- Automated sync jobs pull fresh records from primary sources on a recurring schedule.
- New medication assistance programs enter as needs review and are not shown as verified until a human confirms the official URL and program terms.
- Dollar amounts, caps, expiration dates, and eligibility terms only display as verified once an official source URL and a recent verification date are on file.
- Broken or redirected links are re-checked and flagged automatically; stale records are hidden until repaired.
- Expired co-pay offers are hidden from public results.
What "verified" means
A green Verified badge indicates a person on our team confirmed the record against its official source on the date shown. It does not guarantee your personal eligibility — always confirm with the manufacturer, prescriber, insurance plan, and pharmacy before enrolling.
Report an issue
If a program looks out of date or a trial link is broken, use the Report button on the record. Reports are reviewed and applied to the next sync cycle.
