Neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase () gene fusions are rare but actionable oncogenic drivers in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Despite the rarity offusions, tumor-agnostic tropomyosin receptor kinase (TRK) inhibitors have demonstrated rapid and durable responses across multiple tumor types. In this podcast interview, Justin Gainor and Sanjay Popat discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with developing and implementing targeted therapies for ultra-rare molecular subsets, such asfusion-positive NSCLC, from a regulatory perspective.
